1. About These Terms
These Creator Terms apply to every person who applies for or holds a creator account on Nanbu (“Creator”). They are in addition to, not in place of, the Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy, which continue to apply to you in full. If these Creator Terms conflict with the Terms of Service on a matter specific to creators, these Creator Terms prevail.
You accept these Creator Terms when you submit a creator application. We record the date, time, and version of the terms you accepted.
2. Applying to Become a Creator
- Every Nanbu account can apply to become a creator from Settings. Creator status is added on top of your account - you remain a member and can subscribe to other creators with the same login.
- Applications are reviewed by our team. We may approve, reject, or request more information at our discretion, and approval is not guaranteed. A rejected or suspended creator application does not affect the member side of your account.
- All information you provide during application and onboarding (identity, contact, payout, and tax details) must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date. Providing false information is grounds for rejection or termination.
- You must be at least 18 years of age and able to enter into a legally binding contract under Indian law.
3. Merchant of Record & Taxes
- You are the merchant of record for your subscription revenue. Invoices to your members show you as the seller. Nanbu is the merchant of record only for its own platform fee.
- You are responsible for your own tax compliance, including GST registration where applicable and income tax on your earnings. Your GST status (registered, or unregistered below the services threshold) is collected at onboarding and must be kept accurate - it determines how your invoices are issued.
- As an e-commerce operator, Nanbu is required to collect Tax Collected at Source (TCS) under Section 52 of the CGST Act on the net value of taxable supplies you make through the platform. TCS is an advance-tax mechanism, not an additional platform charge - registered creators can claim it back as credit.
- Nothing on this page is tax advice. Consult your own tax professional for your specific situation.
4. Platform Fees & Payouts
4.1 Platform Fee
- The standard platform fee is 15% of subscription revenue.
- Founding Creators pay 0% for their first 60 days from approval, then 10% for five years from their approval date, after which the standard rate applies.
- The fee rate applied to each transaction is fixed at the time of that transaction. A later change in your status does not retroactively change fees already applied.
- Payment-gateway charges and taxes applicable to the platform fee are handled as shown in your dashboard’s earnings breakdown.
4.2 Payouts
- Earnings are paid out weekly to the payout details (UPI or bank account) you provide during onboarding. You are responsible for keeping these details correct.
- We may withhold or delay a payout while we investigate suspected fraud, a chargeback pattern, or a violation of these terms, and may deduct amounts refunded to members under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- If your account is terminated for a policy violation, pending payouts may be withheld or forfeited as described in the Terms of Service.
5. Pricing & Membership Rules
- Subscription tiers are priced by you, in Indian Rupees, between Rs 49 and Rs 999 per month. These limits are enforced by the platform.
- Direct-message access may only be offered on tiers priced at Rs 199 per month or above. This is a platform rule, not a preference - it is part of how we keep messaging safe.
- Direct messages are a subscription perk. Charging per message, or offering pay-to-unlock content inside chat, is not permitted.
- One-time tips from members start at Rs 49; the amount is chosen by the member.
- You may offer a free trial on a tier. Trial members have the same access as paying members of that tier for the trial period.
6. Your Content
- You retain ownership of your content, and you grant Nanbu the limited operating license described in Section 4 of the Terms of Service.
- You are solely responsible for everything you publish. You must hold all rights, licenses, and permissions for the content you upload, and it must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy (Section 5 of the Terms of Service) and applicable Indian law. Nanbu is a strictly non-NSFW platform.
- Every image and video you upload is scanned by automated moderation before it becomes visible to anyone. Flagged content is held for manual review and is never auto-published. Content that fails review is not published, and repeated violations put your creator account at risk.
- Images served to your members carry a per-member watermark. This protects your work against redistribution; it does not alter your original files.
- You may delete comments that members leave on your posts. Moderating your own space responsibly is part of keeping it worth paying for.
7. Your Relationship with Members
- Deliver what your tiers promise. Tier descriptions are a commitment to the members who pay for them - keep them accurate, and update them before changing what a tier includes.
- Refunds and cancellations are handled under the platform’s Refund & Cancellation Policy, which applies to your subscriptions.
- Do not use the platform to solicit payments outside it, or to direct your members to complete on-platform transactions elsewhere.
- Treat members with respect in DMs and comments. Harassment, spam, and solicitation rules in the Terms of Service apply to creators with at least the same force as they apply to members.
8. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate creator status for violations of these Creator Terms or the Terms of Service, as described in Section 6 of the Terms of Service. Suspension or termination of creator status does not by itself close the member side of your account. You may stop being a creator at any time by contacting us; amounts legitimately earned before closure are paid out in the normal payout cycle, subject to Section 4.2 above.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Creator Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notified to your registered email address. Continuing to use your creator account after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
